100% hand-built to your specs

Every Absolute wheelset is custom built by hand in our workshop. You choose the components—hubs, spokes, and spoke count—and we lace them with care and precision. No shortcuts, no automation. Just artisan craftsmanship, backed by years of racing experience.

Ultra-light carbon rims – only 290 g

These rims are forged from premium Toray carbon and come straight from the mold in a stunning satin finish—no coating, no paint, just raw, beautiful performance. At just 290 grams per rim, they’re super light without compromising strength or stiffness. That means better acceleration, crisper cornering, and effortless climbing.

Built for real-world racing

With a 29 mm internal width and 35 mm external, these hookless rims are optimized for modern XC tyres from 2.2" to 2.6". They’re tubeless-ready, fully ISO tested, and built to handle riders up to 100 kg. The asymmetric profile improves spoke tension balance, making the wheelset even more reliable under load.

Silky smooth hubs by DT Swiss

Choose between the latest DT Swiss 350, 240, or 180 Boost hubs, all straightpull and compatible with 6-bolt (or Centerlock on the 180). You can match your drivetrain with Shimano HG, Micro Spline, or SRAM XD freehub bodies. We don’t cut corners—only the best goes into your build.

Choice of spokes for weight and feel

We offer two premium straightpull spokes from Sapim: the lightweight butted Laser or the aerodynamic CX-Ray. Both are race-proven, with black Sapim Secure Lock nipples as standard. Prefer brass? Just ask. For ultimate performance, the CX-Ray option drops an extra 20 grams.

Fully tubeless-ready setup included

Every Absolute MTB wheelset comes pre-fitted with black tubeless valves and high-quality tubeless rim tape, so you're ready to hit the trails from day one. No fuss, no extra work—just mount your tyres and go.
