CycloCarb – THOR Carbon Bike Tuning was founded in April 2016, so we’ve been around for quite a while.
Absolutely! You’re always welcome. Please contact us in advance to schedule an appointment.
We offer a standard 36-month warranty on all new parts from the date of purchase.
Not at all! You can buy our carbon bike parts online or through your local bike shop. Any bike shop in Europe can order our parts. We already have partnerships with several shops.
Our webshop is linked to our inventory system. If the webshop shows that an item is in stock, you can rely on that.
Yes, we do—but please check with us first for current availability.
We use MOLLIE as our payment provider. During checkout, you can choose from various payment methods. Mollie is one of the leading Payment Service Providers, regulated by the Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM), and ensures your personal data is fully protected.
We ship all orders within 24 hours (when products are in stock), so your purchase will arrive quickly.
No worries—it happens! We're flexible when it comes to returns and exchanges. You can find more information and the conditions here. The only exception is custom-built THOR Carbon wheelsets; since they’re made especially for you, we cannot accept returns on those.
Once we’ve confirmed your return is approved, we’ll process the refund via Mollie within two business days. The refund will be made through your original payment method.
All carbon bike parts, including ours, must be installed using a torque wrench. We use high-quality, durable carbon, but over-tightening can damage mounting points. Each order includes a mounting manual. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out—we’re happy to help.
Toray (Japan/USA) is the world’s leading manufacturer of high-grade carbon fiber. Most reputable bike brands use it—and so do we. Some cheaper manufacturers use low-purity carbon, especially in China, to compete on price. We only use 100% Toray carbon (brand name: TORAYCA).
The “T” stands for tensile modulus—essentially, how much force the carbon can withstand before breaking. The higher the number, the stronger and lighter the material can be made. BUT purity is key. Even T1000+ carbon isn’t automatically better if the raw material is impure. Also, using 100% T1000 or higher is unrealistic—it’s too stiff and far too expensive. Most parts today are based on T800, with targeted use of higher-grade carbon where needed (a process called carbon blending).
A lot! Every new part undergoes rigorous pre-production testing following ISO protocols specific to the cycling industry. Each part has its own testing methodology, which we carry out in certified test labs. Only after a part passes all required tests do we proceed with production. We also conduct mid-cycle testing when necessary.
Our THOR ABSOLUTE wheelsets—available for Road, All Road, Gravel, and MTB—are our latest innovation. They offer four key benefits:
